Lead Principal Platform Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve core platform capabilities for AI-assisted application development.
• Design scalable, secure, and reliable services, APIs, SDKs, and integration patterns for GIU partner teams.
• Lead technical strategy for AI harness capabilities, including LLM integration, prompt orchestration, evaluation workflows, agentic development patterns, and reusable AI components.
• Define platform standards for observability, reliability, security, testing, performance, and operational readiness.
• Partner with GIU engineering teams to understand adoption needs and translate them into reusable platform features.
• Provide technical leadership across architecture reviews, design proposals, implementation planning, and cross-team engineering decisions.
• Mentor engineers on platform design, distributed systems, AI application patterns, and high-quality software delivery.
• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to shape the roadmap and prioritize high-impact platform investments.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies, developer tooling, and cloud-native patterns for practical use within our core platform.
• Drive engineering excellence through clear technical documentation, maintainable designs, automated validation, and strong CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Deep technical knowledge of frontend technologies: JavaScript, TypeScript, nodejs.
• Hands-on engineering depth with broad systems thinking.
• Experience building platforms that other engineers love to use.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving technical domains.
• Strong architectural judgment and practical experience applying AI and LLM technologies in production-oriented environments.
• Technical leadership and mentoring experience.
• Experience shaping platform strategies and roadmaps.
• Ability to evaluate and apply emerging AI technologies and cloud-native patterns.
