About the role

The Lead Principal Infrastructure Capacity Planner will be responsible for setting the long-term capacity and architectural vision for OCI's edge and backbone networks. This role is pivotal in driving capital investment decisions, partnering with key stakeholders, and influencing the organization's infrastructure strategy. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in network planning, backbone engineering, and infrastructure strategy, with a deep understanding of IP transit/peering and large-scale fiber/wavelength infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Own and develop the long-range capacity and architecture strategy for edge and backbone routes, and IP transit and peering.
  • Lead the largest and most complex capital investment decisions, guiding OCI's approval process for major projects.
  • Serve as the senior technical authority, partnering with network engineering, sourcing, and executive leadership on critical infrastructure decisions.
  • Set the direction for multiple planning domains, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall strategy.
  • Mentor and guide other planners, sharing expertise and best practices to enhance the team's capabilities.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in network technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of capacity planning with other aspects of network operations.
  • Provide thought leadership and contribute to the development of best practices in network capacity planning and infrastructure strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, maintaining a high level of network reliability and performance.

Pay

Hiring Range in USD from: $114,600 - $234,600 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral. Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
