Lead Preschool Teacher

About the role

The Old Colony YMCA is seeking a Lead Childcare Teacher at their EASTON branch location. This position offers full-time and part-time shifts.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a program of activities ensuring each child's personal safety.
• Provide enrichment, physical challenges, and learning experiences.
• Monitor and lead activities throughout the day.
• Ensure all job responsibilities align with the mission of the Old Colony Y and regulatory agency.
• Display and encourage the character traits of caring, responsibility, honesty, and respect.

Requirements

• Minimum of 21 years of age or have a high school diploma or equivalent and meet EEC requirements for education and experience for Teacher.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
• Evidence of physical examination within the last 12 months.
• ECERS-R or equivalent certification.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children.
• Ability to maintain a positive and nurturing environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
