Lead Pre-K Teacher

About the role

We are looking for someone to join our team who is passionate about the early learning field, the great outdoors, and the holistic development of children and their families.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team and be flexible about assigned duties
• Be organized, creative, energetic, and dependable
• Enjoy working with children of diverse backgrounds
• Understand the varied and necessary developmental stages of preschool children
• Create and implement a weekly curriculum
• Provide a warm, nurturing environment
• Get on and off the floor as needed
• Have the ability to lift 25 lbs
• Know proper diapering procedures per the Washington State Department of Health
• Be current on all STARS/MERIT training
• Have a current and cleared TB test
• Be a current resident of Washington State with a cleared portable background check through MERIT
• Hold current First Aid, CPR, and HIV training
• Maintain a professional appearance
• Demonstrate reliability

Requirements

• Experience working with children ages 3 to 5 years old in a child care setting
• AA/BA degree in Early Childhood Education or current Child Development Associate credential (CDA)
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Lead Teacher in a child care setting
