About the role
This role is part of the Global Payment Network team at Capital One. The team is responsible for building and maintaining the payment processing infrastructure that supports Capital One's financial transactions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable and secure software solutions using modern web technologies such as JavaScript, React, Node.js, and Docker.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and backend engineers to design and implement features that enhance user experience and improve operational efficiency.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of existing systems through automation and optimization efforts.
- Participate in code reviews and mentoring junior developers to ensure best practices are followed.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other teams within the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in full-stack development.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong understanding of database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Proficiency in version control systems like Git.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization tools like Jenkins and Kubernetes.
Qualifications
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Knowledge of server-side technologies such as Express.js, Django, or Ruby on Rails.
- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Skills
- JavaScript, TypeScript, and other client-side languages.
- Node.js and other server-side technologies.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
- Understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
- Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Pay
The base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $150,000 annually, depending on location and experience.
Schedule
This role is typically full-time and requires a standard 40-hour workweek.
