Lead Platform Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will drive the design, buildout, and sustainment of a secure cloud platform that supports software delivery at scale for mission-critical government operations. You will lead platform engineering efforts across Azure and Kubernetes, with a strong emphasis on automation, reliability, and DevSecOps practices. In addition, you will partner closely with engineering teams to onboard them to the platform, define deployment standards, and improve the overall developer experience. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $131,750 – $178,250 annually Responsibilities Lead the build and sustainment of a software factory supporting mission-critical government operations Architect and maintain CI/CD pipelines for software and infrastructure as code Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters in Azure cloud environments Onboard teams onto the platform and assist with integration Establish guidelines for deploying to Azure and Kubernetes environments Educate teams on DevSecOps practices and tooling Direct sustainment activities for Kubernetes clusters and platform applications Qualifications 10+ years of DevOps and Cloud experience Strong expertise in Azure Cloud and Kubernetes Experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps practices Proficient in Linux-based operating systems Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language Outstanding communication skills for team collaboration US Citizenship and DoD Secret Security Clearance required Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans 401(k) plan with company match Flexible work weeks and various paid time off options Short- and long-term disability benefits Life and accident insurance options Regular review of benefits to ensure competitiveness Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
