What You’ll Do
- Manage all operational activities during assigned shifts, implementing the Operating Plan and ensuring safe, compliant operation.
- Monitor plant performance using PI software and other tools, ensuring optimal efficiency and adherence to OEM guidelines.
- Operate and review operational data, readings, log sheets, and water chemistry analyses, taking corrective action for deviations.
- Execute initial responses to abnormal or emergency conditions, and report to Plant Management.
- Set operational priorities for maintenance activities, guide maintenance personnel, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Oversight of environmental compliance, including manual oversight, regulatory adherence, and incident reporting.
- Direct, coach, and develop plant operators, manage the Operations Training Manual, prepare compliance reports, and update manuals.
- Support screening and hiring, inventory management, and handling collective bargaining and HR matters.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of power plant or comparable operations experience
- Minimum 3 years of combined cycle plant experience
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
- Experience with PI (OSIsoft) or equivalent plant historian and operational data tools
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including overtime, on-call, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a post-offer physical examination and drug screening
- Legal authorization to work in the US
- Physical capabilities to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work outdoors, and wear PPE
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a technical or engineering field, or equivalent formal training
- Experience with gas turbine operations
- Familiarity with Red Tag Pro permit and lockout/tagout management software
- Background in environmental regulatory compliance and incident reporting in a power generation setting
- Experience maintaining or contributing to Operations Manuals and plant training programs
Compensation and Benefits
- $56.00 to $61.00 per hour
