Lead Plant Operator
About the role
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Lead Plant Operator to join our production team. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the safe and efficient loading and packaging of dry ice products in strict adherence to quality control standards. Additionally, this position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the facility to ensure a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Loading & Packaging: Perform the daily loading, weighing, and packaging of dry ice products into various containers (blocks, pellets, slices) based on customer orders.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect all finished products to ensure they meet the company’s strict quality standards regarding weight, density, and packaging integrity.
- Equipment Operation: Operate production machinery and material handling equipment (such as forklifts or pallet jacks) safely and efficiently.
- Documentation: Accurate logging of production numbers, shipping manifests, and inventory usage.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, commissions, proportions, and percent
Qualifications
- One (1) year experience in a production/manufacturing environment
