  • Comply with legal and professional requirements, including studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
  • Collaborate proactively with other providers and healthcare practitioners within your clinic to efficiently treat patients and plan coordinated, efficient, and thoughtful dispositions (including transfer) in a timely manner.
  • Act as a clinic leader, especially when the Practice Manager is not in-clinic, providing support and mentorship to new-graduate providers and other clinic staff.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Act as a preceptor to new provider staff, offering information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Master's degree and certification by a Physician Assistant (PA) certifying body.
  • Must have and maintain a DEA license with no restrictions.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (no online-only classes accepted).
  • Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care setting is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor provider and non-provider clinic staff.
  • Excellent team player who enjoys collaborating with others in a strong team dynamic.
  • Proactive and confident communicator (written and verbal), able to foreshadow and elevate concerns as they arise.
  • Compassionate, authentic, and patient-focused, supporting patients through kindness and contributing to a community of belonging.
  • Technically savvy, proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software and clinical management systems (EMR).

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment and meeting quality standards.
  • Understanding of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and state rules pertinent to medical practices.
  • Knowledge of relevant drugs, their chemical composition, structure, and properties, as well as non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and their uses.
  • Current understanding of principles, methods, and procedures for medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.

Benefits
