About the role

We seek a Lead Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

Location: 123 19th St. NE Watertown, SD
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm with lunch from 12:30pm to 1:30pm

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
• Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist
• Order, receive and store incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receive and process wholesaler medication orders
• Verify medication stock and enter data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Work with the Pharmacist to assist in pharmacy functions and keep the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Perform various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicate with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Support and develop teams in the South Dakota area as needed
• Make local deliveries and travel to other locations based on business need
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of South Dakota
• 3+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience
• 3+ years of experience working within Genoa
• 1+ years of multi-site and team training experience
• 1+ years of prior authorization experience
• Ability to work onsite at 123 19th St. NE Watertown, SD, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am–5:00pm
• Access to reliable transportation & valid US driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Previous lead technician experience

Pay

The hourly pay for this role will range from $20.00 to $36.00 per hour based on full-time employment.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm with a one-hour lunch break from 12:30pm to 1:30pm.
