Lead Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist Director of Pharmacy services in Pharmacy Technician scheduling and performance evaluation
• Assists pharmacist in all aspects of Pharmacy operations in order to meet the goals and objectives of the Pharmacy Department
• Coincide training and onboarding of new Pharmacy Technicians to the Department
• Perform various functions on rotational basis in inpatient, outpatient, controlled substance and floor stock drug distribution, intravenous ad mixture preparation, and extemporaneous compounding

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma required or equivalent. Associates Degree in Pharmacy Technician program in preferred
• Minimum Experience: 3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital environment
• Licenses/Certifications: Current Pharmacy Technician Certification is strongly preferred, required within 6 months of hire. Pharmacy registration with Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection within 30 days of hire and by March 31st of each year
