Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Maintain proper licensing and documentation.
- Oversee the preparation, dispensing, and management of medications, including controlled substances, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Provide direct patient care services, including medication counseling, drug therapy monitoring, and health education.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to improve service delivery and patient safety.
- Stay current with industry trends, new medications, and best practices to enhance pharmacy operations and patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Valid state pharmacist license; must meet all state requirements to practice.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Technology: Proficiency in pharmacy management software and electronic health records (EHR).
