Lead Person - Packaging

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks as described and assigned by the department supervisor/manager
• Operate and help maintain equipment within their assigned area
• Aid in reporting problem situations and making recommendations to enhance production efficiency
• Work as a team player to assist with on-the-job training and employee development
• Recognize potential problems and coach employees or make recommendations to the supervisor for further action
• Follow Company’s GMP’s, SOP’s, safety, plant rules, and other policies and codes of conduct
• Verify accuracy of orders/invoices/manifests, complete cycle counts, and ensure accurate inventory control
• Strive to meet the needs of both internal and external customers

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a manufacturing or food production environment
• Basic oral and written communication skills
• Ability to stand, reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds with assistance when required
• Willingness to work a Monday through Friday schedule with occasional weekend work based on production needs
• Fork-lift/tow motor experience preferred
• Experience with Oracle systems preferred
