Job Summary

Air Distribution Technologies is seeking a Lead – Duct Pond to join our ASC facility in Tarboro, North Carolina. This role is responsible for overseeing daily production activities within the Duct Pond area, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery standards are met. The Lead will coordinate workflows, support team performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives while fostering a strong culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do

  • Champion a strong safety culture by enforcing safety policies, procedures, and best practices across the team
  • Oversee daily production activities to ensure alignment with safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives
  • Assign and communicate daily work assignments based on production schedules and customer requirements
  • Maintain clear communication with team members and leadership regarding production status and issues
  • Monitor key performance metrics including productivity, scrap rates, on-time delivery, and standard hours
  • Identify production bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve workflow, throughput, and efficiency
  • Support training and development of team members on processes, equipment, and safety procedures
  • Collaborate with supervisors, engineering, and other departments to resolve production challenges
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment across the production floor

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Experience in a lead, team lead, or informal leadership role preferred
  • Strong understanding of production processes, workflow, and efficiency principles
  • Ability to read and interpret production documents, work instructions, and basic technical information
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address process issues
  • Preferred Experience in HVAC or sheet metal manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience tracking and improving production metrics (safety, quality, delivery, cost)
  • Previous experience training or mentoring team members

Work Environment

  • This position operates in a manufacturing environment at the Tarboro facility
  • Employees are regularly exposed to industrial conditions including noise, moving equipment, and production machinery
  • The role requires standing and walking for extended periods and may involve lifting, bending, and other physical activities
  • The environment may be non-climate controlled and include exposure to dust, grease, and typical plant conditions
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when working in designated areas
