Responsibilities

• Count eggs from each house.
• Load eggs onto trailer - ability to lift 4 flats at a time.
• Transport eggs to egg room using 4-wheeler.
• Unload eggs into egg room and stack onto pallets:
  • a) Wrap pallets
  • b) Clean egg room
  • c) Assist egg truck driver to load pallets onto truck.
• Perform tasks as an egg gatherer including:
  • Gather eggs
  • Clean workrooms
  • Empty trash
  • Walk floors & slats to find eggs & dead birds
  • Help maintain & clean ranch grounds
  • Clean waterers
  • Clean lights
  • Clean up ranch between flocks
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Good management skills: personnel, organizational skills, conscientious, accepts responsibility, shows interest in ranch management.
• Outstanding motivation: must be self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
• Good work record.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
• Must be able to lift & carry 50 pounds.
• Must be able to climb a 12-foot ladder, step into & out of fathering pit (steep stairs), bend over & pick up eggs from Floor & walk 1.5 - 5 miles per day.
• Must have reliable transportation.
