Essential Functions
- Participate in safety programs and training, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel culture
- Establish and maintain effective communication within all areas of operation
- Conduct regular inspections for safety, housekeeping and mechanical issues
- Implement and apply all safety rules, regulations and procedures of the mine
- Complete daily production, safety and maintenance reports accurately
- Work in a team environment
- Operate heavy mobile equipment
- Supervise, coordinate, or schedule the activities of team members
- Train workers in operation of equipment and safety procedures
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position and will require 40+ hours per week.
Minimum Education Details
A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required.
Minimum Experience Required
4+ years related experience is required.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of MSHA regulations
- Effective verbal communication
- Knowledge of heavy mobile equipment and tools including their design, use, and maintenance
Physical Abilities
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round
- General physical activities include climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reaching with hands and arms, and handling materials
