About the role
The Lead Patient Care Assistant serves as the frontline clinical resource for the Patient Care Assistant team during each shift.
Responsibilities
- Captures and coordinates daily workflow
- Supports staffing assignments
- Mentors new and existing Patient Care Assistants
- Promotes adherence to quality and safety standards
- Serves as a communication link between the Nurse Leader, Registered Nurses, and the PCA team
- Maintains direct patient care responsibilities
- Provides operational support that improves efficiency, consistency, staff engagement, and the patient experience
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience: 3 years of experience in a patient care role
- Licenses: Basic Life Support Required
- Preferred Certifications: Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant
