Lead Patient Access Representative

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and organizes daily responsibilities and schedules of the PAR teams, providing support where needed.
  • As a working member of the team, has the ability to assist and cross-cover as needed in any of their responsibilities or locations.
  • Prepares staffing schedules to ensure proper coverage.
  • Trains new staff, assessing team needs and determining retraining as needed.
  • Performs staff audits and re-education as needed.
  • Reviews daily balances and copays collected to ensure the team is meeting standard KPIs as set by the supervisors/manager.
  • Accounts for and compiles team’s financial batches for the day, ensuring that they are accurate, complete, and properly ordered.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality and complies with HIPAA standards.
  • Maintains a neat and organized workspace, and restocks supplies as needed.
  • Travels to other offices as needed for coverage.

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma required; some higher education preferred.
  • 1+ year supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical insurances required.
  • Exceptional customer service skills required.
  • Experience working with an EMR/PM required.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Quick thinker with ability to pivot in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment is a must.
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle for needed travel.
