Lead Packaging Operator 3rd - Starting Pay $19.88/hr + shift differential $1.50/hr and up

Welcome to Bosch. The Lincolnton, NC Conversion, Customizing and Packaging Center is located approximately 30 miles from Charlotte. The facility employs just under 500 full time associates in a 5-shift operation, which encompasses 235,000 sq ft. along with 12,000 skus. In addition to the conversion, customizing and packaging activities, abrasives are now a big part of our power tool accessory business. ISO certified, our associates engage in BPS, CIP and 5S.

Responsibilities

• Ensure machines are properly set up with correct tooling, materials, and recipes before or during production.
• Work in assigned position while floating to support all packaging areas as needed.
• Ensure completion of First Piece and Last Piece inspections and maintain product quality.
• Adjust and optimize machine parameters to maintain efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Communicate machine status, issues, and corrective actions clearly to team members.
• Ensure safe operation of equipment and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of packaging equipment (Algus, OMT Welder, OMT Marking, Manual Pack, OMT Oven, and Rust Prevention)
• Ability to adjust machine parameters and optimize performance
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and leadership on the floor
• Knowledge of FIFO, quality checks, and work standards
