About the role
Capital Electric is seeking a Lead Warehouse Associate to join our high-energy team in Upper Marlboro, MD. In this pivotal leadership role, you'll drive all incoming and outgoing logistics, coordinating your team to ensure peak efficiency. Your mission is to keep the warehouse running like a well-oiled machine and help us maintain our status as the undisputed "electrical distributor of choice" in the area.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete journey of products from arrival to shipment using Solar Eclipse software.
- Oversee all incoming and outgoing logistics, upholding company standards for speed and accuracy.
- Guide warehouse associates through daily tasks such as packaging, staging, loading, and material movement.
- Ensure every product leaving the warehouse meets our high quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe workplace operating within all SOPs and OSHA standards.
- Operate a variety of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) to optimize warehouse flow.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of relevant warehouse experience (electrical distribution experience is a plus).
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to keep operations running smoothly.
- Solid foundational reading, writing, and arithmetic abilities.
- Sharp eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 70 lbs occasionally (safety first!).
- Proficient, safety-conscious forklift operator.
- Flexibility, multitasking ability, and readiness for daily variety.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM–1:00 AM.
Pay
$24–$27 hourly.
