Lead Optometric Technician

About the role

Adventure Dental, Vision and Orthodontics in Greeley, CO is seeking an Optometric Assistant to administer visual tests, operate diagnostic equipment, and help with eyewear fittings. This position reports to the Lead Optometric Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, clean, and audit frame board on a weekly basis
• Order and track materials/supplies needed for back office
• Ensure patients are teched and scribed in a timely manner and assist the team when falling behind
• Educate patients on proper frame selection and lens options
• Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients (cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, etc.)
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children

Requirements

• Previous experience in a vision practice is a plus
• Ability to tech, scribe, and perform optometric tasks
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in EHR systems
• Ability to train and lead a team of Optometric Assistants
• Ability to multitask and complete tasks correctly and on time
• Preferred knowledge of optometric online software/database, Intero Order processing systems, Google Docs, and Document Portal Spreadsheet software
• Bilingual is a plus

Pay

Pay range: $16.50–$22/hour with monthly bonus opportunities.
