Lead Operator - 3rd Shift (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM)

Responsibilities

• Familiar with the majority of production equipment and processes
• Ensure all products exiting production line meet customer and product requirements
• Validate correct materials are being utilized
• Adhere to all quality standards and policies
• Ensure finished product is transported/loaded correctly
• Identify noticeable defects in incoming & outgoing products
• Cross training or training on equipment as defined by manager
• Must be flexible in availability to work various shifts and/or facilities
• Work in a safe manner, consistent with company safety rules and regulations
• Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Extensive experience in a manufacturing facility
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety glasses and leather skid resistant work shoes/boots)
• Ability to apply basic computer and communication skills, math functions, and reasoning
• Ability to use various hand tools (RF scanner guns, can openers, knives and scales)
• Previous experience as a machine operator, QC Technician and a forklift operator

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to: Long periods of standing/moving, working around moving mechanical parts/conveyors, Loud environment, hot/cold, wet/dry conditions, Lifting/carrying, Frequent reaching/pulling/climbing stairs/stooping/kneeling/bending
