Responsibilities
- Use computer aided design, process planning and facility planning tools to develop manufacturing process and facility plans.
- Concept tool and fixture designs including sourcing their design and build with external service providers.
- Create work instructions and decision support methods, create line balances and detailed physical layouts and 3D manufacturing process layouts.
- Work with Manufacturing Execution System (MES tools JDAAT), and product testing (JDTester).
- Use simulation and analysis techniques to validate and verify process and facility plans and provide analysis reports.
- Work with Operations and Order Fulfillment manufacturing personnel to begin limited production builds and help with ramping up to full production.
Requirements
- Experience with line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management tools.
- Knowledge and proficiency in Computer Aided Design concepts and Computer Aided Process Planning concepts.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total productive maintenance and facilities.
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) systems (JDAAT, AMES, Liaison, Factory Talk, etc.).
- Experience in use and application of Lean Manufacturing Principles.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and complete multiple, concurrent projects.

Qualifications
- 3 or more years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
- Knowledge of drawing and schematic interpretation, product models, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Experience with mistake proofing and Design for Manufacturing Assembly (DFMA).
- Experience with MPPlanner, SAP, & JDAAT.
- Experience with AGVs and Integrated Mfg controls.
- Experience managing capital projects of $100K+.
- Experience with assembly automation.
