POSITION SUMMARY
The Newbuild Strategy Lead is a critical member of Royal Caribbean Group's Newbuild Strategy team focused on supporting corporate, brand, and functional leaders navigate a dynamic operating environment and execute complex organizational initiatives, while also working cross-functionally to set the long-term strategic vision for the department. Projects assigned are typically top priority, high profile, and multi-departmental initiatives for the organization and thus require continuous communication and interaction with department leadership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages and develops key strategic initiatives within the department to enable our short-term priorities, long term goals, and annual objectives.
- Develops strategic insights based on internal and external data and business analysis, including but not limited to analysis of markets, customers, and businesses.
- Manages the analysis of complex data, with strong experience in gathering actionable insights.
- Buils and develops presentation decks and visualizations in PowerPoint, Power BI, or related tools which clearly communicate the team’s findings and potential impact on the business.
- Communicates with different departments and senior leaders across the company in order to develop new insights and work cross-functionally to drive projects forward.
- Gathers and distills competitive information and market analysis to create ideas and recommendations that may involve changes to the company’s operating practices and market focus.
- Leads and administers team meetings and drafts communications of project status based on pre-defined templates to executive leaders.
- Collaborate with corporate teams to ensure Newbuild is working towards the corporate vision and strategy on specific initiatives and projects.
- Develops processing methods and practices for communicating project status to extended teams and executive management.
- Performs other duties as required.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees creation and management of small to medium size project budgets with oversight by Managers for projects under their supervision.
- Works with Supply Chain Management to negotiate contract terms and cost savings with vendors as required.
- Solid understanding of accounting rules for expense and capital activities.
QUALIFICATIONS

- B.S. degree with a concentration in Business Administration or Management Information Systems, or a closely related discipline (Management Science, Industrial Engineering).
- 3-7 years of relevant analytical work experience required. Experience in a management consulting firm or relevant strategic function at a corporation is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) required.
- Proven understanding of corporate finance, accounting, and capital markets.
- Understanding of microeconomic and macroeconomic principles is preferred.
- Highly advanced communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong analytical skills and can think strategically about the cruise/hospitality business.
- High energy and sense of urgency required.
- Ability to multi-task and work under deadline pressure.
- Willingness to work hard and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.

- Must be willing to reside in South Florida.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret contracts, financial reports, legal documents, and government regulations.
- Ability to clearly and effectively present information to top management, customers and vendors.
