About the role

Deliver technical solutions that align with business needs and industry best practices. Design, implement, and maintain network and firewall infrastructure to ensure network stability, performance, and security. Lead Network Engineers and Network Data Techs in daily activities, projects, and special assignments. Plan and maintain network systems across TUHS, develop standards, identify and correct problems, seek improvement opportunities, and propose changes. Foster cooperation and trust among junior team members and work groups through collaboration. Recommend upgrades or enhancements that support the technical environment and meet business needs. Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and 24x7 on-call services for the network infrastructure.

This role requires three days on-site (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) at Temple Health Women's and Families Hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage enterprise-level (Data Center/Campus) network infrastructure
  • Lead and mentor junior Network Engineers and Network Data Techs
  • Develop and maintain network standards, troubleshoot issues, and propose improvements
  • Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to align network strategies with business objectives
  • Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and 24x7 on-call services
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and support network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and monitoring systems
  • Recommend upgrades or enhancements to support the technical environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or combination of relevant education and experience
  • 5 years of experience in a related role with expertise in enterprise-level network infrastructure
  • Proficiency in network protocols: TCP/IP, VxLAN, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, ACI, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi protocols
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting network devices: routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and network monitoring systems
  • Experience with Cisco & Extreme Switching, Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco and Aruba Wireless, Infoblox DNS
  • Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices
  • Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare IT experience
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
