Lead Network Engineer
About the role
A Client WAN Engineer will be the interface to both the client Business Units and their customers to provide the best-in-class design and deployment for remote customer network connectivity enabling the consumption of all client services.
The role involves working hand in hand within the team and collaborating with other Network Engineering teams, Network Operations, and development teams to collaborate on automation ideas that enhance network deployments, increasing productivity and delivering to market sooner, which will result in greater revenue.
The ideal candidate is highly autonomous, very detail-oriented, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, and has significant experience in supporting large-scale, enterprise-class networks.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine operational procedures to ensure efficient and effective network deployments.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to implement automation solutions that reduce manual tasks and increase productivity.
- Lead the adoption of new technologies and innovations to enhance the network architecture.
- Work closely with clients and their customers to provide best-in-class design and deployment for remote network connectivity.
- Contribute to the expansion of the network and businesses through collaboration and innovation.
Requirements
- In-depth WAN Engineering skills to develop best practices and refine operational procedures.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented individual with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Significant experience in supporting large-scale, enterprise-class networks.
- Hands-on experience in software development using Python, Git, Ansible, and YAML.
- Hands-on experience with Layer 3 protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), route distribution, router filtering.
- Hands-on experience with various network solutions (SDWAN, MPLS, IPsec, S2S, DMVPN).
- Hands-on experience with Layer 2 protocols (HSRP, VRRP).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience and appropriate certificates.
- Knowledge in the Linux/Unix environment.
- Substantial background in large-scale network implementations and support.
- Knowledge of network hardware and packet forwarding architectures.
- Load balancers and firewall knowledge is a plus.
Skills

Benefits
The role offers a competitive salary range of $63,000 to $134,500, along with comprehensive benefits package.
