Work Schedule

Primarily daylight hours, Monday through Friday!

Four 10-hour shifts across the week!

Occasional weekends included in schedule, as well as occasional on-call hours for holiday weekends and/or additional needed weekend coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all job responsibilities of an MRI Technologist Advanced, including maintaining MR and patient safety, preparing and administering contrast, completing procedures, presenting relevant information to physicians, and documenting patient information.
  • Assumes the leadership role in the absence of a supervisor.
  • Leads orientation and training for new hires, students, and other medical personnel.
  • Assists in talent acquisition interviews for recruitment of MRI Technologist candidates and provides feedback for annual performance reviews.
  • Responsible for offering remediation with technologists when necessary.
  • Assists with quality assurance projects and assists in the development of exam protocols.
  • Captures and coordinates daily workflow and schedule of the department while maintaining staffing levels based on, but not limited to, call-offs, vacations, patient volumes, and training needs.

Qualifications

  • Completion of formal training in MRI-related program accredited by the ARRT or ARMRIT, or CNMT program, or accredited ARDMS program.
  • 3 years of MRI experience required.
  • ARRT MR or ARMRIT required.
  • Performance review consistent with minimum of strong/solid performance on last performance review required.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances

  • ARRT Certificate OR ARRT Certificate OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
  • BLS OR CPR - CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
