Responsibilities
- Collaborating closely with supervisors and fellow team leads to strategically manage staffing levels and assignments to meet production schedules and customer demands efficiently.
- Coordinating and supporting comprehensive onboarding and training programs, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and quality standards.
- Applying problem-solving techniques to maintain uninterrupted and efficient operational performance within your team.
- Identifying and escalating safety, quality, and process issues promptly to the Production Supervisor.
- Working alongside cross-functional teams including Safety, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Planning, and Materials Management to address and resolve operational challenges.
- Maintaining and continuously improving standard work procedures to enhance productivity and quality.
- Driving team communication through regular meetings, performance reviews, and feedback sessions to promote transparency and teamwork.
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives and fostering lean manufacturing principles as part of daily work routines.
- Championing 6S methodologies to create and sustain organized and efficient workspaces.
- Participating actively as a vital member of the manufacturing production team across the site.
- Strictly adhering to the company’s Quality System policies and procedures and ensuring all relevant documentation is accurate and complete.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Qualifications
- Strong ability to read and interpret safety rules, engineering prints, procedural manuals, and maintenance instructions accurately to ensure compliance and operational success.
- Effective oral and written communication skills to interact confidently with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities enabling quick and effective resolution of operational issues.
- A collaborative attitude with a proven ability to work harmoniously in team settings and across functional boundaries.
- Previous leadership experience in managing teams or overseeing projects within a manufacturing or related environment is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and a continuous process improvement mindset to support the company’s operational excellence goals.
- A proactive approach to safety, quality, and efficiency, embodied through personal accountability and the ability to inspire similar commitment from others.
