For our client, a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space, we are seeking a Lead ML/Perception Engineer to join their team. This role focuses on operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
- Lead development of software and system requirements with cross-functional teams
- Drive major architectural updates to the perception stack to enhance scalability and performance
- Own scene detection capabilities, focusing on classifying scenarios and runtime behavior
- Enhance robustness of perception systems under adverse weather and sensor degradation
- Design and implement advanced perception features with industrial-grade code quality
- Integrate large-scale models to improve semantic understanding within the perception stack
- Oversee technical performance trends of perception systems in real-world applications
Qualifications
- 5+ years of industry experience with real-world robotic systems and high-quality code
- Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field with strong engineering foundation
- Experience leading architectural decisions for perception or autonomy software stacks
- Proficiency in C/C++/Python and Linux software development environments
- Hands-on experience with ML/DL frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow
- Direct experience with large-scale multi-modal models for perception applications
- Knowledge of real-time computer vision, including object detection and classification

Pay
$235,000 – $275,000 annually
