Lead Member of Technical Staff - API Platform

About the role

This role will lead technical work focused on cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and delivery of scalable, secure enterprise platform solutions
• Define and drive technical strategy and roadmap for API Platform capabilities
• Establish and promote an API-first engineering methodology across teams
• Provide technical leadership for complex initiatives, aligning teams around common standards
• Design capabilities for parallel feature development and incremental delivery at scale
• Serve as a trusted technical authority, influencing decisions across teams
• Mentor and develop engineers, enhancing engineering standards organization-wide

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, particularly with large-scale enterprise or platform solutions
• Demonstrated leadership in architecture and delivery of complex systems across teams
• Proficient in programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript
• Deep understanding of API design and distributed systems architecture
• Experience with AWS infrastructure and services for production web applications
• Strong skills in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines

Pay

$172,500 – $260,100 annually
