Primary Duties
- Performs required QC and preventative maintenance, including corrective action and documentation, for all procedures and instrumentation.
- Minimizes department expenses by using resources efficiently, avoiding urgent supply requests and inventory loss due to expiration.
- Performs complex troubleshooting.
- Reports accurate results in order to minimize the use of corrected reports that could have an adverse effect on patient care.
- Uses computer skills to evaluate data, document actions, control workflow, use computer monitors (delta check, previous results), enters comments, pulls/clears pending lists, reviews computer reports.
- Works to improve and expand the skill set of others by assisting with training students and employees, reviews others’ work; cross trains and proactively assists others.
- Acts as a resource to coworkers and customers for technical questions.
Qualifications
- REQUIRED for the position: MT(ACSCP) or equivalent certification in good standing required. Bachelor of science and completion of an accredited laboratory science program DESIRED for the position: Previous supervisory/lead/leadership experience
