About the role
Florida Dermatology Specialists is a growing private medical practice with offices in Port St Lucie, Stuart, and Palm Beach Gardens. They are seeking a Supervisor to lead their dynamic medical assistants in all three locations. Responsibilities
- Lead 12-14 Medical Assistants in dermatology and administrative duties
- Hire, present performance improvement plans, and conduct annual reviews for staff
- Train new staff in general dermatology and surgery
- Schedule clinical staff for all three locations
- Work on the floor at least 50-75% of the time as a Medical Assistant
- Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs, and document charts
- Prepare and clean rooms for examinations, procedures, and surgery
- Absorb and assist physicians and midlevel providers in surgery and general dermatology
- Remove sutures and change dressings
- Perform other medical office duties as assigned
Requirements
- Extensive general dermatology and Mohs surgery experience
- Supervisory experience over other Medical Assistants
- Willingness to travel to Port St Lucie, Stuart, and Palm Beach Gardens
Pay
Pay is commensurate with dermatology and management experience.
Schedule
The position is salaried full-time Monday through Friday. Offices are open approximately 8am-5pm.
