Lead Mechanical Specialist - Houston, TX (West)

Responsibilities

• Generates scope estimate packages
• Priced equipment lists
• Work-hour estimates/staffing plans
• Project schedule details for mechanical engineering scope deliverables
• Periodic completion progressing against a project schedule and budget

Qualifications and Experience

• Requires five to seven (5 – 7) years’ experience in mechanical design or related functional area
• Completion of NCEES FE Examination (preferred)
• Professional Engineer (PE) License (preferred)
• Proficient in engineering and design tools, including common computer aided drafting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experienced with equipment engineering activities for either fixed or rotating equipment
• Understanding how engineering deliverables fit into a project schedule and impacts to preceding and following activities in the schedule
• Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal or written formats)
• Comfortable at providing direct tasking to other technical staff regarding technical and schedule topics
• Capable of presenting technical and non-technical data to peers, stakeholders, clients and design review teams in both verbal and written formats
• Skilled at interpreting and applying technical and non-technical data, including charts, graphs, design codes and engineering theories
