About the role

We are seeking a Lead Mechanics to lead our team of Mechanics and Senior Mechanics. This role is ideal for individuals with mechanical skills who want to expand their career in operations.

Responsibilities

  • Train, lead, and assign daily tasks to a team of Mechanics and Senior Mechanics
  • Maintain a team-oriented environment and integrate new Mechanics into the team
  • Evaluate and provide feedback on team performance
  • Ensure operational compliance and safety of all vehicles through quality checks
  • Document completed quality checks for vehicles and parts
  • Manage battery operations including inspections, rotations, check-ins/check-outs, and more
  • Support inventory management and organization of tools, parts, and vehicles
  • Assist with tire maintenance including changes, inflation, and assembly
  • Identify and perform small repairs on vehicles in the field, such as brake adjustments, vehicle cleaning, and other maintenance tasks
  • Conduct rigorous quality checks to ensure vehicles are in optimal working condition
  • Maximize operational vehicle count by completing assigned tasks efficiently
  • Safely operate a push cart, pallet jack, forklift, and/or van as needed
  • Perform basic and complex electronic part replacements and other warehouse repairs

Requirements

  • At least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and good driving record
  • One year of experience in a similar industry, with the ability to train others preferred
  • Ability to work various shifts including evenings and weekends
  • Frequent lifting of up to 65 lbs / 35 kg
  • Understanding of workforce management to support efficient staffing
  • Comfortable learning and adapting to new concepts and tools
  • Knowledge of data analysis and KPIs to inform decision-making
  • Experience with cell phone applications, iOS preferred
  • Experience operating a pallet jack or push cart, forklift certification required in some markets
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform quick repairs
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational skills to manage daily tasks
  • A safety-oriented mindset and capability to conduct thorough quality checks
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with team members at all levels

Qualifications
