Lead-Materials 1st Shift

About the role

Lead- Materials 1st Shift 6am-2:30pm Oversees and organizes all operation activities during normal production for responsible area.

Responsibilities

• Leads all team members to implement production safely, efficiently, and accurately based on safety regulations, standard operating procedures, checklists, quality standards, production plans, etc.
• Assists with implementation of lean methodology and/or health, safety & environment practices.
• Coordinates maintenance issues with the maintenance department and oversees safety during maintenance if necessary.
• Works with other personnel to complete equipment isolation, flushing, replacement, inspection, commissioning, etc.
• Communicates with team members on all issues.
• Provides performance evaluation input to supervisor.
• May work as a backup to positions in a shift group.
• Works under limited supervision for non-routine situations and may be responsible for leading daily operations.
• Trains, delegates and reviews the work of lower level employees.
• Handles problems that are typically difficult and non-routine but not complex.

Requirements

A Support 4 requires advanced knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience and may require vocational or technical education.
