About the Role

The Lead Manufacturing Technician works closely with the Production Manager to prioritize compounding and filling operations, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule. This role involves coordinating with warehousing personnel, supervising technicians, and maintaining operational efficiency in a safety-sensitive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates work schedules for solvent process and packaging operations, assigning technicians to tasks as needed.
  • Adjusts schedules and makes personnel changes to meet production demands.
  • Handles equipment integrity issues and collaborates with maintenance personnel.
  • Consults with the Production Manager on overtime, disciplinary actions, training, and personnel issues.
  • Attends Production Scheduling meetings and processes daily manpower charts.
  • Keeps leadership informed of work status and completes related reports.
  • Ensures accurate paperwork from the start to the end of filling operations.
  • Prepares documentation for lab review, including samples and particle counts.
  • Maintains certifications for solvent area tasks and performs tasks as needed.
  • Supervises personnel to ensure safe and proper completion of manufacturing tasks, training, housekeeping, and safety inspections.
  • Supports and participates in Environmental, Safety and Health, and quality programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience as a Manufacturing Technician.
  • 2 years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Qualified in solvent production tasks with troubleshooting abilities for process systems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, stoop, bend, climb, and reach.
  • Adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work varied shifts as required.
  • Experience operating a forklift and other manufacturing tools.
  • Ability to be fitted for and wear a respirator.
