Job Summary

Performs and supervises all aspects of radiographic procedures at a supervisory level to ensure the coordination of all procedures being performed by personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervises a variety of technical procedures to ensure that a good independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis is being utilized by technologists.
  • Assumes responsibility for designated areas, personnel and procedures, as required.
  • Reports directly to the Director of Imaging.
  • Reports directly to the Director of Imaging.
  • Is accountable for the delivery of efficient, high quality services to the patient, physician and all customers while providing supervision to technical personnel to perform high quality exams within the protocols and guidelines set by the Department of Imaging Services.
  • The Lead shall be responsible for outlining work assignments at the commencement of shift for all technologists to include maintaining and stocking of supplies, rooms and equipment or other assigned duties.
  • He/She has the responsibility of protection and safety to themselves, the patients and co-workers.
  • The lead technologist will be directly responsible for assisting in evaluating all technical personnel and student radiographers within the department.
  • The Lead Technologist participates in on-call coverage for the modality as part of the essentials of the job requirement.

Position Qualifications

  • Responsibilities: Certifications: LIC-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Licensure-Others
  • Work Experience: Relevant Work Experience Experience Level : 3 years
  • Education: Graduate of an approved discipline specific program
