Lead Machine Learning Engineer - Localization

About the role

This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Architect and direct the localization machine learning stack roadmap
• Lead research and validation of neural architectures for feature extraction
• Drive feature development from inception to deployment with rigorous testing
• Own the end-to-end data strategy for the localization domain
• Develop robust evaluation frameworks for localization performance metrics
• Define failure mode criteria for localization features under diverse conditions
• Translate complex autonomy goals into software and system requirements

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field
• 7+ years of machine learning/deep learning experience in computer vision/localization
• Deep expertise in object detection, segmentation, tracking, and 3D reconstruction
• Experience with feature extraction and fusion from imagery, LiDAR, and/or radar
• Proficient in ML optimization for real-time products, including model quantization and pruning

Pay

$235,000 – $285,000 annually
