About the role

The Lead, Logistics Specialist will be responsible for managing the development and maintenance of program schedules. This individual will help develop the format, tools, and tracking/reporting methods to be used to manage the contract and budget. This position also supports programs in developing plans and integrating inputs from all programs and government. The qualified candidate will interface with all elements of the program team to develop and support regular maintenance of the program.

Position is based in Greenville, Texas, with required travel to Okinawa, Japan. Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage weekly meetings with the Integrated Logistics Support Management Team in support of assigned programs and projects.
  • Ensure compliance with internal program procedures and project control system guidelines IAW with FAR/DFAR and company MMAS procedures.
  • Manage and recommend repairable and consumable spare parts, tools, test equipment, and support equipment for system maintenance.
  • Develop, create, and manage provision Data Requirements for all new systems/components or modifications to existing systems/components.
  • Provide support for guidance, coaching, and training to other employees.
  • Contribute to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results.
  • Ensure compliance with internal program procedures and project control system guidelines.
  • Make significant improvements of processes, systems, solutions, or products to enhance performance of job area.
  • Provide measurable input of new products, processes, or standards in operational plans that will have some impact on the achievement of overall functional results.
  • Communicate within and outside of own function or business area and has responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization (e.g., customers, vendors) when necessary.
  • Explain, interpret, and gain cooperation on policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Conduct extensive investigation to understand root cause of problems; problems span a wide range of difficult and unique issues across the function and/or business area.
  • Influence others to accept individual or team’s views or practices and changes to concepts, practices, and approaches.
  • Work to achieve operational targets within job area with some impact on department results.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 7 years of prior Logistics experience.
  • Graduate Degree with 5 years of prior Logistics experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1st Shift)
