Lead Lighting Technician - Permanent, Holiday, and Event Lighting

Responsibilities

• Leading installation crews on permanent, holiday, and event jobs from layout through final walkthrough
• Reviewing job plans and site conditions, and assigning tasks across the crew
• Checking crew work for quality, safety, and consistency before sign-off
• Diagnosing and resolving complex electrical and controller issues
• Serving as the on-site point of contact for customers, including final walkthroughs and system demonstrations
• Training and mentoring Technician I and II crew members
• Running pre-job safety briefings and making sure crews follow safety practices
• Planning post-holiday takedowns, including labeling and storage for reinstallation

Skills and Qualifications

• At least 2-3 years of experience in roofing, construction, lighting, solar, low-voltage electrical, or another hands-on trade
• At least 1 year of experience leading a crew
• Efficiently diagnose and repair electrical issues
• Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders
• Safely operate boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other equipment after training
• Valid California driver’s license and personal vehicle
• Work comfortably outdoors, and on ladders and rooflines
• Lift 50 pounds regularly
• Available to work evenings and weekends
