Poulsbo Animal Clinic is seeking a Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) passionate about leadership, training, and improving team workflows. This role offers autonomy, trust, and support in a fast-paced, collaborative general practice environment, allowing you to fully utilize your skills while delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate surgical and dental procedure schedules
  • Calculate and prepare anesthetic medications and drug dosages
  • Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia patients
  • Assist veterinarians during surgical procedures
  • Perform dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
  • Monitor patient recovery and ongoing procedural care
  • Guide clients through patient admission and discharge with confidence and compassion

Requirements

  • 5+ years of veterinary technician experience
  • Active and good-standing Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of Washington
  • Proficiency in:
    • Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring
    • Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery
    • Surgical assistance and aseptic technique
    • Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
    • Medication administration and accurate drug calculations
    • Client education and communication
    • Training team members
    • Improving workflows and implementing SOPs
    • Effective teamwork and professional communication

Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply.

Full-time, 4/10 schedule with availability needed Monday–Friday.
