About the role
Our client is seeking an experienced, full-time Lead Survey Technician to support a mix of field and office-based land surveying work in the Los Angeles area. This role will contribute to boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction layout projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform field surveying and construction staking; collect, document, and maintain accurate field notes and coding.
- Prepare and support detailed boundary, topographic, and land title survey deliverables.
- Use surveying and CAD/drafting software to process field data and produce survey documentation.
- Coordinate effectively with project teams while maintaining dependable, high-quality work standards.
Requirements
- 4+ years of land surveying experience, including field and office responsibilities.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and survey drafting software; experience with Carlson Survey is preferred.
- Familiarity with boundary/topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS standards, construction layout, and field documentation.
- Strong English communication skills, reliability, and dependable transportation.
- LSIT certification or progress toward licensure is preferred.
Pay
$30–$40 per hour
