Overview
Shift: Evenings. Location: Columbus, Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the oversight of phlebotomy and specimen processing services.
- Serves as the technical expert in phlebotomy and specimen collection.
- Coordinates phlebotomy and lab assistant activities to ensure timely, safe, efficient specimen collection and processing according to established collection protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required.
- Work Experience: 2 years of phlebotomy experience and/or lab processor or lab assistant Required. Experience working in a hospital Preferred.
- Licenses and Certifications: None Required. CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification (through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency) Preferred.
