Lead Java Developer

Job Description

This role is for a senior engineering leader responsible for designing, building, and delivering cloud-native, microservices-based platforms within a financial services environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead: Java Spring Boot Microservices with AWS, Terraform & GoLang (Financial Services)
• Define architectural patterns such as API-first design, event-driven systems, and domain-driven design, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and banking regulations.
• Build high-performance backend services using Spring Boot, while leveraging GoLang for optimized, low-latency services in critical components.
• Establish best practices for automated provisioning, deployment pipelines, and environment consistency.
• Oversee DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and observability using monitoring tools.
• Ensure seamless integration across systems and secure communication with downstream banking platforms.
• Design solutions that meet data privacy standards, ensure high availability, and support mission-critical functions such as payments, fraud detection, or core banking systems.
• Implement performance engineering strategies, focusing on optimizing throughput, reducing latency, and implementing resilience patterns.
• Manage distributed teams across onsite and offshore locations, mentoring engineers, enforcing engineering best practices, and driving governance around code quality, secure coding, and delivery standards.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and engage with business stakeholders effectively.

Requirements

• Must have: Java Spring Boot Micro Services & AWS Terraform & GoLang
• Core skill requirements include proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, AWS services, Terraform, and GoLang.
• Experience with DevOps tools, container platforms, and monitoring solutions is essential.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with event streaming, API frameworks, and security protocols.
• Exposure to financial services domains.
