About the role
Lead Java Developer position located in Berkeley Heights, NJ (5 days onsite). This is a 12‑month contract‑to‑hire opportunity.
Requirements
- Java 17+ development experience
- Spring Boot and RESTful Services
- Kubernetes and OpenShift
- NoSQL databases
- Object‑Oriented Programming and software design principles
- Experience across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Knowledge of software architecture and design patterns
- Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, SharePoint, Fortify, and Sonatype
- Strong understanding of Test‑Driven Development (TDD)
Qualifications
- 10+ years of software development experience
- Prior technical lead or team leadership experience
- Experience working within Agile environments, including Scrum and Kanban
Skills
- Proven ability to lead and mentor development teams
- Experience partnering with product, engineering, and cross‑functional stakeholders
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
