Lead IoT & Edge Platform Engineer (contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Lead IoT & Edge Platform Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-scale connected systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead enterprise IoT, edge, and cloud architectures.
• Build real-time data, telemetry, and platform integration solutions.
• Automate device provisioning, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Implement secure, scalable, and compliant connected systems.
• Drive AI-enabled analytics and operational improvements.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, IoT, edge computing, or related technical disciplines.
• Proven experience designing and implementing IoT and edge architectures at scale.
• Strong proficiency with Python, automation frameworks, and API development/integration.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with real-time telemetry, data ingestion, and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of networking, device connectivity, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Strong understanding of security, governance, and operational best practices.
