Lead Inventory Technician | Full-Time | 7:30AM TO 4:00PM

About the role

Under the direction of the Manager, Supply Chain Services, the Lead Inventory Technician assists the manager in scheduling staff, distributing workload, and providing training and education to the inventory tech team. This position troubleshoots backorder and stock-out situations and identifies possible solutions in collaboration with the manager, clinical resource manager, and purchasing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building new supply rooms and ensure current ones are well-maintained and free of expired products.
• Maintain and provide a safe and therapeutic work environment for customers and others; report and resolve issues.
• Provide training and education to new team members and continuing education to existing team members.
• Assist in scheduling and workload distribution.
• Act as a floater when short-staffed to ensure all areas are adequately serviced.
• Log miles on the mileage sheet daily and keep the UF Health Central Florida vehicle neat and clean.
• Safely operate a company vehicle while delivering supplies to off-site locations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Three years of experience working as an Inventory Technician.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
