Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Information Security Engineer to support the Vulnerability Assessment Team in scanning operations across multiple tools, driving efficiency and accuracy. This role focuses on analyzing existing technical tasks and building processes—including AI-driven automation—to streamline operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead vulnerability scans of IoT devices and collaborate with the team to identify vulnerabilities on infrastructure assets.
  • Design, create, and implement automation—preferably with AI—to support operational tasks.
  • Provide security consulting for large-scale projects to ensure compliance with corporate information security policies and standards.
  • Design, document, test, maintain, and recommend issue resolutions for moderately complex security solutions related to networking, cryptography, cloud, authentication, directory services, email, Internet, applications, and endpoint security.
  • Apply expertise in industry-leading security solutions and best practices to implement components of information security, such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity.
  • Identify security vulnerabilities, perform risk assessments, and evaluate remediation alternatives.
  • Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in AI-assisted development and analysis tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot and approved code-centric agents).
  • Leverage AI to accelerate system design, coding, testing, analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Apply technical judgment when validating and integrating AI-assisted outputs into solutions.
  • Account for model limitations, security risks, and operational considerations in AI usage.
  • Ensure AI usage aligns with security, compliance, privacy, and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in vulnerability management and/or patch management tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of Common Vulnerability Exposures (CVE) and Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) scoring.
  • Experience with Qualys or similar vulnerability management tools.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Minneapolis, MN: $131,000 - $206,000

Pay range reflects base pay and may vary based on factors such as skills, experience, and work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
