Job Summary
We are seeking a Lead Infant Toddler Caregiver to join our team in Waialua, Hawaii. Essential Duties
- Provides individualized comprehensive early childhood education services to Early Head Start families and acts as a family educator and advocate;
- Promotes best practice and acts as a resource person;
- Captures and implements weekly lesson plans centered on the development of the child through individualized small and large group activities;
- Emphasizes preparing children for preschool and engaging families throughout the process;
- Coordinates and ensures completion of prenatal, well-child exams, immunizations, health screenings, and nutrition assessments;
- Completes Individualized Family Partnership Agreements, Individualized Learning Plans, developmental screenings, and other required assessments with families;
- Maintains accurate written/electronic records including health information, ongoing assessments, family contact documentation, screening schedule, observations, and other required forms;
- Completes required documents and submits weekly and monthly paperwork associated with assigned classroom and children;
- Implements special education services for children with special needs and their families through the development and implementation of an Individualized Family Support Plan in collaboration with the child’s Part C provider.
Qualifications
- Lead Infant Toddler Caregiver Level 1: Must be at least 18 years old. Required: Child Development Associate (CDA), 12 college credits in early childhood education, 30 hours of infant/toddler training, Lead Caregiver qualified as documented through the State of Hawaii childcare registry, 12 months full-time experience working with children under 36 months of age in a licensed early childhood education program or center.

Required: Associates or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field, 12 college credits in early childhood education, 30 hours of infant/toddler training, Lead Caregiver qualified as documented through the State of Hawaii childcare registry, 12 months full-time experience working with children under 36 months of age in a licensed early childhood education program or center.
Education/Training

Other Requirements
- Possesses and maintains a valid driver’s license and daily access to an automobile;
- Possesses and maintains proof of no-fault insurance;
- Can obtain an acceptable criminal background check upon hire, one year later, and annually thereafter;
- Can obtain an acceptable CWS background check upon hire, one year later, and annually thereafter;
- Can obtain an acceptable National Sex Offender Registry Check upon hire, one year later, and annually thereafter;
- Successfully completes a pre-employment physical examination and TB test upon hire and as requested.
