About the Role

As Quality Manager, you'll serve as the leader of MadgeTech's Quality Management System and work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Calibration, Customer Service, and Executive Leadership to maintain compliance while driving continuous improvement throughout the organization. Responsibilities

  • Quality Management Systems
    • Serve as Management Representative for ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 9001.
    • Lead MadgeTech's AS9100 implementation and certification initiative, including developing processes, documentation, and cross-functional readiness to achieve certification.
    • Maintain and continually improve MadgeTech's Quality Management System.
    • Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
    • Lead internal, external, surveillance, and certification audits.
    • Coordinate audit preparation and follow-up activities.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and operational performance.
    • Lead root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
    • Develop and implement process improvements that strengthen product quality and customer satisfaction.
    • Analyze quality metrics and recommend improvements based on data.
  • Product & Process Quality
    • Establish and maintain product quality standards and inspection processes.
    • Develop quality documentation, procedures, and work instructions.
    • Validate manufacturing processes and quality systems.
    • Collaborate with Engineering on new product development and manufacturing improvements.
    • Investigate customer complaints and quality issues while driving effective resolutions.
  • Leadership & Collaboration
    • Partner with leaders across departments to foster a culture of quality.
    • Provide guidance and training on quality policies and procedures.
    • Support employees in understanding quality expectations and best practices.
    • Communicate quality objectives, audit results, and improvement initiatives to leadership.
  • Documentation & Compliance
    • Maintain quality records and documentation.
    • Prepare reports related to audits, quality metrics, corrective actions, validations, and compliance activities.
    • Ensure documentation remains accurate, organized, and audit-ready.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience managing a Quality Management System in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025.
  • Experience leading internal and external audits.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) or other quality certifications.
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience.
  • Experience with electronic manufacturing or precision instrumentation.
  • Experience implementing quality system improvements.
